Welcome
Well, it's that time of year again. The entry forms have been posted off to all our previous participants and I'm pleased to say that we've started to receive them back!! What's even more encouraging is the amount of entries from people who are joining us for the first time. Hopefully that means that we're doing something right, which is obviously our aim. Speaking of which, you'll notice that we've made a few little amendments to the route this year, thanks to some very generous local landowners, which we think that you'll really enjoy.

So, if you're still deciding whether to come along or not, please do. And if you've already entered, bring a mate along too! As the old saying goes - the more the merrier.

Event Sponsors
The organisers would like to offer our thanks to all our existing and long-standing event sponsors, and we'd also like to extend a warm welcome to The Pennine Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, who are joining us for the first time.

Walkers Arms
Mick and Vicky continue to be proud sponsors of this event and extend a warm welcome to all participants and spectators.

2008 Finish Times here

Over recent years we have adapted our route to try and incorporate as much legal off-road riding as we possibly can. This year our investment in time and effort has paid off handsomely and we have secured access to several new sections. These will provide a bit of added variety for our returning participants and will complement the rest of the route nicely. As a bonus, one of the evil tarmac climbs has bitten the dust!!

The 30 mile route is a mixture of demanding off road terrain, local roads and lanes, set around the picturesque countryside of the Colne Valley in Huddersfield.

The course travels through the heart of the "Last of the Summer Wine" and "Where the Heart Is" country. The event is open to anyone aged 12 or over, however under 16's must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Riders of all abilities are welcomed, but are reminded that although this is primarily a fun event, the course is challenging.

This is a fundraising event in support of the 39th Parkwood Scout Group and Leymoor Cricket Club, Golcar.
